The Pencader and District Regeneration Group was formed in February 2003.
Following a public meeting the Pencader Planning for Real Group was created, with support from Antur Teifi and Oak Tree Community Development Services. It was agreed that our first objective should be to consult residents of the parish by providing the opportunity whereby their interests and objectives relating to the area could be aired. A large scale map of the area with model houses was created by children at the school and exhibited to residents who were encouraged to highlight concerns and ideas using the map as a means of identifying the relevant places. The Regeneration Group was then established in order to help deal with the issues raised.
The aims of the Group are:
To improve community life of the residents of the community of Pencader and surrounding villages (Alltwalis, Dolgran, Gwyddgrug, Llanfihangel-ar-Arth, New Inn and Pontyweli), in particular communications and the general environment, while respecting equal opportunities for all in these regards.
