Autumn Clean Up 2017

The Autumn village clean-up will be held on Saturday 14th October, commencing at 10am from the Pavilion. Pick-up sticks, bags, gloves, tabards etc can be collected from the Pavilion and returned with the rubbish collected.

The AutumnClean-Up is usually challenging to say the least, and we really do need your help on the actual day. Should that not be possible, please try and do some on the day before or whenever.

But DO help please – we really need you. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.

On Saturday April 8th the Regeneration Group held a village Clean Up.

This was the 27th time that the “Clean Up” took place. It was very welcoming to see 4 children helping along with eleven adults attending either on the day, or the day before, they diligently picked up litter from the main, side streets and the sports’ field. A total of 8 black and 11 blue bags were collected. There was a redundant boiler and some goal posts left out.

Afterwards the cleaners returned to the Pavilion where there were refreshments gladly received was served. Grateful thanks must be given to Hannah for her delicious scones and jam.

Over the years the County Council have provided more litter bins in the village making residents and visitors more aware of the need to keeping the streets of their home land clean and tidy.

Thank you to all who helped.
