Skanda Vale Hospice offers care and support for adults with life-limiting illnesses. We’re here to help families find strength, dignity and peace of mind during some of life’s greatest challenges.

One unique feature of our hospice is that we have very few paid staff – our team is made up, almost entirely, of highly skilled volunteers. If you’d like to join our friendly team, here are some of the activities you could try:

  Offering complementary therapies.

Helping in our hospice garden.

Being a companion to our patients.

Cooking or helping in the kitchen.

Driving patients to and from the hospice.

Helping in our Newcastle Emlyn charity shop.

Offering creative writing, sound-based, craft or storytelling therapies.

Assisting with general maintenance and / or simple building work.

Reception and office administration.

Professional volunteering such as photography, Welsh language translation, book-keeping etc.

You can find strength, compassion and fulfillment as a volunteer when you work at Skanda Vale Hospice.

Everyone is welcome to be a part of this exciting project, regardless of ability, commitments, background or beliefs. If you’d like to volunteer (or if you want to use our services) please get in touch:
